In For Good

For the past 27 years, KCAH has been a lifeline to those who are sleeping rough or facing other forms of housing crisis in Kingston. We offer a range of vital services such as drop-in advice, emergency supplies and housing referrals.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, we played a key part in helping more than 100 vulnerable people off the streets and into safe temporary housing in a local hotel. Together with community partners, we also helped to provide them with meals, vital supplies and support for a wide range of issues from addiction to mental health.

VOH

All drop-in night shelters have been ordered to remain closed for the foreseeable future (due to COVID-19), but we are determined that the vulnerable people who have come to us for help will not end up back on the streets, especially since many have acute addiction and mental health needs. Now our aim is to find them permanent housing and support, so that everybody can stay 'In For Good'.

We've recently set up The Joel Centre as a 'stabilisation centre' - supported accommodation for those facing acute addiction or mental health issues. However, funds are urgently needed to make this a sustainable project.

By donating to KCAH, you are making it possible to help keep some of Kingston's most vulnerable people off the streets for good and to transform their lives.

Thank you so much for your support!
