Winter Warmer Appeal

As the cost of living crisis takes its toll, more and more people are at risk of being forced into sofa surfing, temporary accommodation or even sleeping rough on the streets this winter. This means that increasing numbers of people are coming to us for help, as they face the coldest months of the year without somewhere warm or safe to call home.

For the past 30 years, KCAH has been working tirelessly in your local area to support people in the Kingston Borough, many of whom have lost everything. We help people work towards finding a safe and stable home and to start rebuilding their lives.

We do this by:

  • Helping people into emergency accommodation or longer-term, shared supported housing.

  • Offering drop-in support; welfare and benefits advice, addiction support, counselling and emergency supplies.

  • Equipping people with the knowledge and independent living skills they need to manage their housing successfully.

  • Empowering people to explore their strengths and interests to build self-worth, confidence and identity.

But we need your support to help keep our vital services running

Even a small donation can make a HUGE difference!

Winter Warmer donations

We are based in Kingston upon Thames and give direct support to the people who need it in your local community.

  • We do not spend your valuable donations on postal marketing, 'chuggers' or gimmicks.
  • Our staff team is made up of paid workers and volunteers, to help keep costs down. Most of our staff started out as volunteers and many still put in voluntary hours to help keep services running.
  • We know many of the people who have spent years living on the streets in the borough of Kingston. More importantly, they know us and trust us to support them, as and when they are ready and able to engage with our services.
