The Story of Sandra *

Sandra was a 58-year-old single woman, who had been living in rented accommodation for 11 years.

A change of circumstance for her landlord meant that they swiftly needed to regain the property. However their method of eviction was not legal and not enforceable.

Through fierce and compassionate advocacy and mediation, we protected Sandra’s legal rights and accommodation as well as working swiftly with the council to both protect her and find her a suitable move-on, aiming to complete the process before court proceedings began.

Sandra moved into sheltered accommodation with the council and has been settled and supported for over 2 years.

Reading the case notes was a lesson in taking a stand for someone, knowing their rights and holding fast as a shield for them. Truly inspiring.
