Did you know?

Every winter in Kingston, single adults find themselves facing freezing nights without a safe place to go. While the festive season is a time of warmth, family, and home for many, for someone on the street or trapped in precarious housing, it is the most isolating and dangerous time of the year.

Even one person sleeping rough or living without security is an avoidable tragedy, and it is our work to bring that number to zero. By reaching out, engaging, listening, advising, and advocating, we are the tip of the spear in the fight against homelessness in Kingston.

Winter days are short, temperatures plummet, and having no front door to lock creates an exhausting physical and mental toll. That is why our frontline team works every single day to provide emergency intervention, practical supplies, and the casework needed to secure lasting, permanent tenancies.

One community, one voice

Behind every person who turns to KCAH is a single adult in our borough looking for a route back to safety, independence, and hope.

When you join Kingston’s Voices Together, you do far more than create a beautiful day of music. You ensure our drop-in and casework teams can keep answering the door throughout the coldest months for every single adult who needs us.

Tell me more

Quite simply, the invitation is to join us for an amazing “Come and Sing” community choir day. Join the voices, learn several songs in four-part harmony, and perform for your friends and family in the evening; right before they whisk you off to congratulate you on your beautiful work and your fundraising efforts!

Led by the Honoured Artist of Ukraine, Tania Kysliak, who has led acclaimed choirs across Ukraine and the UK, we will learn our parts across the day, rehearse until we sound like a well-oiled musical machine, and show off our talents and new friends to our loved ones.

No auditions, no previous choir experience, and no need to read sheet music. Whether you are a consummate choir professional, a karaoke king or queen, a driver seat diva, or a secret shower singer, you will be warmly welcomed, tutored, and supported every step of the way.

We will spend the day learning together in good company, with plenty of tea, coffee, and cake to keep those vocal chords lubricated, leading up to an uplifting 8:00 pm concert.
