The Story of Elise *
Elise finished college and looked forward to her future. She found work on a 0-hours contract and the income was inconsistent. After 3 years at home with a parent, consisting of repeated conflict, arguments, leaving and returning, she decided that the last time was the last time.
She spent a while sofa-surfing relying on friends to accommodate her as she continued to work sporadically, but that too became untenable and she found herself at KCAH.
We were able to help regulate her income with benefit support and made referrals to our own Access Project and another supported accommodation.
Having interviewed successfully for both options, she chose to move into a 2 year supported tenancy and is looking to build on her skills and find more permanent work.
